Paleo Raw Food Recipe
This fruit salad combines chopped peaches, strawberries, bananas, blueberries or blackberries and red and green grapes, dressed with a simple fresh lime and pineapple juice dressing. Fruits are seasonal in Winter months may substitute peaches and strawberries with grapefruits, cantaloupe, kiwi or oranges. Substitute to taste. To taste add nuts (walnut, almonds, pecans) or seeds (pumpkin, sunflower) to taste.
Ingredients:
-6 peaches, peeled, pitted and chopped
-1 pound strawberries, rinsed, hulled and sliced
-1/2 pound seedless green grapes
-1/2 pound seedless red grapes
-3 bananas, peeled and sliced
-1/2 pound blackberries or blueberries (to taste)
-small amount of honey (topping to taste)
Dressing:
-juice of one lime
-1/2 cup pineapple juice
-1 teaspoon ground ginger
Preparation:
Combine chopped and sliced fruits in a large serving bowl; toss gently.Add small amount of honey to taste. Whisk together remaining ingredients in a small bowl or 1 cup measure. Pour dressing mixture over fruit and toss gently to combine. Cover and chill the fruit salad thoroughly before serving.
This fruit salad recipe makes enough to serve about 10 to 12 people.

Yield approximately 2 cups
3/4 cup water
2 avocados, pitted and peeled
1 orange, peeled, seeded
1 clove garlic
juice of 1 lime
1/2 teaspoon Himalayan crystal salt
2 teaspoons curry
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Blend all of the ingredients until creamy. Serve over your favorite chopped veggies or salad.

Yield: 6-9 pieces
Ingredients:
-1 cup raw cashews
-1 cup Twister Sprouted Omega Blend
-3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
-2 cups strawberries, chopped
-2 cups zucchini, chopped
-2 teaspoons ginger powder
-1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
-1 teaspoon orange peel powder(optional, but yummy!)*
-1/2 teaspoon Himalayan crystal salt
-1/4 teaspoons tevia powder (optional, but yummy!)

-Grind the cashews to a fine grind using a blender or food processor (fitted with the "S" blade). Transfer to a large bowl. Add the Twister powder to the bowl and stir to mix the ingredients. Blend the remaining ingredients together using a blender. Transfer the blended mixture to the bowl with the cashew/Twister ingredients, and stir thoroughly to mix. Loosely cover the bowl with a piece of paper towel (or cloth towel), and let it sit on your counter for 2 hours.
-Spread all of the bread dough on a dehydrator tray lined with a non-stick Paraflexx sheet (from Excalibur ). It should be about 10" x 10" with a height (or thickness) of about 1/2".
-Dehydrate at 135 degrees for one hour. Reduce the temperature to 105-110 degrees and continue dehydrating another 8-10 hours.
-Flip the bread onto a tray that is not lined with a Paraflexx sheet. Gently peel off the current sheet of Paraflexx being used. Continue dehydrating 10-12 hours. Cut the bread into desired size pieces and continue dehydrating another 1-4 hours, or more, depending on desired dryness. The goal is not to dry the bread completely if you want it like a soft bread.Strawberry Sweet Bread will stay fresh when stored in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up 5 days.
Serving suggestion:
Serve with a nut or seed butter ( Manitoba Harvest's hemp seed butter is shown in the picture) along with some diced fruit such as berries, orange, or banana.

Ingredients
-6 cups cubed watermelon, seeds and rind removed (about 4 pounds)
-1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
-1 tablespoon freshly grated lime zest

-1/2 cup flax seeds
-1/2 cup flax meal
-6 medium tomatoes
-1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, soaked 2 hours or more
-1 tablespoon lemon juice
-1/4 cup fresh basil
-3 tablespoons dried Italian herb mix
-3 medium onions
-1 clove garlic
• Grind all ingredients in a food processor
• Spread evenly and thinly over 2 Paraflexx dehydrator trays, right to the edges and then use a knife or spatula to score into individual squares .
• Dehydrate at 105 degrees for 3 hours then invert onto another mesh dehydrator tray to finish drying in the dehydrator for a further 10 – 18 hours.
-1/2 cup pine nuts
-1/2 cup macadamias
-2 teaspoons lemon juice
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-2 teaspoons nutritional yeast
-1/4 cup water
• Grind all ingredients in a food processor.
-4 medium tomatoes, de-seeded
-1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, soaked 2 hours or more
-1 soft date
-1 clove garlic
-2 teaspoons olive oil
-1 tablespoon fresh basil
-1 tablespoon dried oregano
-2 teaspoons lemon juice
• Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth.
Paleo Sauce and Paleo Side Dishes Recipes
Ingredients:
-2 cups basil, tightly packed
-1 tablespoon minced rosemary
-1/4c pine nuts
-1T olive oil
-1/4t salt
-2t lemon juice
• Pulse all ingredients in a food processor until broken down, but leaving some texture to the finished pesto.
Assembly
• Start with the flax cracker as a base to which you’ll add a layer of the nut cheese spread.
• Next comes the tomato sauce and then top off with some pesto.
• Garnish with olives, capers and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning.
Variation: This recipe works great using marinated whole mushrooms as a base instead of flax crackers.
• Marinate 12 mushrooms in 1/4c tamari and 1/4c olive oil for 2 hours or more.
• Fill the mushroom caps with the nut cheese, tomato sauce and pesto. Going heavier on the amount of pesto works really nicely with mushrooms.
• Once the mushrooms are stuffed, place in the dehydrator at 105 degrees F to warm through 1 - 2 hours.

- Almond Flour from almond nuts plant based flours alternative to wheat flour. Almond flour is Paleo friendly
- Amaranth Flour
Made from the seed of the Amaranth plant. The Amaranth plant is a green leafy vegetable. The seeds are rich in protein. Amaranth flour is a wheat flour alternative used in baking. Alternative names: African spinach, Chinese spinach, Indian spinach and elephant ear.
- Arrowroot Flour
The root of the arrowroot plant is ground into flour. Arrowroot flour is a bland and fine powder that becomes clear when cooked. Great thickening for clear sauces.
- Brown Rice Flour
Brown rice flour is heavier than white rice flour. Ground from unpolished brown rice has high nutritional values. Has a grainy texture. There is a heavier texture with brown rice flour as versus to white rice flour.Rice not allowed in Paleo Diet.
- Buckwheat Flour
Buckwheat is a herbal plant. Buckwheat is not a cereal or grass. It is a pseudo cereal meaning it is not related to wheat. Buckwheat's outer husk is removed and the plant is dried. The plant is ground into a flour. Buckwheat can be cross-contaminated if processed in wheat facilities. Those people that are gluten intolerant, make sure to read the labels that the produce is “gluten free”. Not allowed in Paleo Diet
- Chick Pea Flour
The chick pea is ground into flour. Has a nutty taste. Usually combined with another wheat flour alternatives.

- Coconut Flour

- Corn Flour
Corn Flour is ground corn. The grain is a fine, white powder used as recipe thickener. Not allowed in Paleo Diet.
- Cornmeal
Ground from corn and heavier than corn flour. Used to make cornbread. Not allowed in Paleo Diet
- Flax Meal
Has a nutty taste and ground from flax seeds. Rich in Omega 3 and linoleic acid. Store in refrigerator in opaque air-tight container. Paleo Diet friendly wheat flour alternative.
- Maize Flour

- Quinoa Flour
Has been used for hundred of years as a cereal. The Incas called it, “The Mother Seed”. Related to the plant family of spinach and beets. The seeds of the quinoa plant are ground into flour. Quinoa flour is a good source of vegetable protein.
- Sorghum Flour
Staple used in Africa and India. Used in soups and unleavened breads. The flour is ground from sorghum grains.
-Soya Flour
A successful alternative flour when combined with another wheat alternative flours. Can be used as a thickener or taste enhancer. Not included in Paleo Diet contains soy.
- Tapioca Flour
Made from the root of the cassava plant. Ground is a light and fine white flour. Adds a chewy texture and thickening agents.
- Teff Flour
From the grass family and used as cereal grain in Northern Africa. Used to make sour flat bread. Teff flour is highly nutritious.
- White Rice Flour
Ground from white rice. Does not have nutritional value compared to brown rice flour. White rice flour gives a light texture. Can be used in a variety of recipes. Not included in Paleo Diet.
Note: Amaranth, Buckwheat and Quinoa are not grains and do not come from grasses. Amaranth, Buckwheat and Quinoa are gluten free and are seeds from leafy plants. Because their seeds have more starch than other seeds they are considered pseudo-grains. For the strict Paleo Diet they are not allowed.

2 avocados, pitted and peeled
1 orange, peeled, seeded
1 clove garlic
juice of 1 lime
1/2 teaspoon Himalayan crystal salt
2 teaspoons curry
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Blend all of the ingredients until creamy. Serve over your favorite chopped veggies or salad.

| Paleo Raw Foods-Vegan Recipe |
Ingredients:
-1 cup raw cashews
-1 cup Twister Sprouted Omega Blend
-3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
-2 cups strawberries, chopped
-2 cups zucchini, chopped
-2 teaspoons ginger powder
-1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
-1 teaspoon orange peel powder(optional, but yummy!)*
-1/2 teaspoon Himalayan crystal salt
-1/4 teaspoons tevia powder (optional, but yummy!)

-Grind the cashews to a fine grind using a blender or food processor (fitted with the "S" blade). Transfer to a large bowl. Add the Twister powder to the bowl and stir to mix the ingredients. Blend the remaining ingredients together using a blender. Transfer the blended mixture to the bowl with the cashew/Twister ingredients, and stir thoroughly to mix. Loosely cover the bowl with a piece of paper towel (or cloth towel), and let it sit on your counter for 2 hours.
-Spread all of the bread dough on a dehydrator tray lined with a non-stick Paraflexx sheet (from Excalibur ). It should be about 10" x 10" with a height (or thickness) of about 1/2".
-Dehydrate at 135 degrees for one hour. Reduce the temperature to 105-110 degrees and continue dehydrating another 8-10 hours.
-Flip the bread onto a tray that is not lined with a Paraflexx sheet. Gently peel off the current sheet of Paraflexx being used. Continue dehydrating 10-12 hours. Cut the bread into desired size pieces and continue dehydrating another 1-4 hours, or more, depending on desired dryness. The goal is not to dry the bread completely if you want it like a soft bread.Strawberry Sweet Bread will stay fresh when stored in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up 5 days.
Serving suggestion:
Serve with a nut or seed butter ( Manitoba Harvest's hemp seed butter is shown in the picture) along with some diced fruit such as berries, orange, or banana.

The kids will love this Paleo Recipe. It is nutritious, quick and easy. You may want to skip the popsicle sticks and pour mix in disposable cups freeze and make watermelon slushs. Another idea is to substitute the watermelon with strawberries, cantaloupe or berries.

Ingredients
-6 cups cubed watermelon, seeds and rind removed (about 4 pounds)
-1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
-1 tablespoon freshly grated lime zest

Either use your own flax cracker recipe, flax crackers you already have, or use this recipe.
Ingredients:
-1/2 cup flax seeds
-1/2 cup flax meal
-6 medium tomatoes
-1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, soaked 2 hours or more
-1 tablespoon lemon juice
-1/4 cup fresh basil
-3 tablespoons dried Italian herb mix
-3 medium onions
-1 clove garlic
• Grind all ingredients in a food processor
• Spread evenly and thinly over 2 Paraflexx dehydrator trays, right to the edges and then use a knife or spatula to score into individual squares .
• Dehydrate at 105 degrees for 3 hours then invert onto another mesh dehydrator tray to finish drying in the dehydrator for a further 10 – 18 hours.
Pine Nut Cheese Spread
Ingredients-1/2 cup pine nuts
-1/2 cup macadamias
-2 teaspoons lemon juice
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-2 teaspoons nutritional yeast
-1/4 cup water
• Grind all ingredients in a food processor.
Tomato Sauce
Ingredients-4 medium tomatoes, de-seeded
-1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, soaked 2 hours or more
-1 soft date
-1 clove garlic
-2 teaspoons olive oil
-1 tablespoon fresh basil
-1 tablespoon dried oregano
-2 teaspoons lemon juice
• Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth.
Pesto
Ingredients:
-2 cups basil, tightly packed
-1 tablespoon minced rosemary
-1/4c pine nuts
-1T olive oil
-1/4t salt
-2t lemon juice
• Pulse all ingredients in a food processor until broken down, but leaving some texture to the finished pesto.
Assembly
• Start with the flax cracker as a base to which you’ll add a layer of the nut cheese spread.
• Next comes the tomato sauce and then top off with some pesto.
• Garnish with olives, capers and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning.
Variation: This recipe works great using marinated whole mushrooms as a base instead of flax crackers.
• Marinate 12 mushrooms in 1/4c tamari and 1/4c olive oil for 2 hours or more.
• Fill the mushroom caps with the nut cheese, tomato sauce and pesto. Going heavier on the amount of pesto works really nicely with mushrooms.
• Once the mushrooms are stuffed, place in the dehydrator at 105 degrees F to warm through 1 - 2 hours.

2 cups pecans, made into a smooth "pecan butter" (your food processor can do this)
-30 dates, pitted (I recommend medjool)
-1 1/2 cup shredded, dried coconut
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1 teaspoon cinnamon
-1 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
In food processor process dates and 1/2 cup pecans until smooth (or as close to smooth as you can get). Add smoothed pecans and date with coconut, salt, and cinnamon. Process until everything is well mixed. Remove from food processor and place the mixture 9x9 or 8x8 inch glass pan. Cover smoothed mixture with 1 cup pecans. Store covered in the refriderator for 2 hours fridge. Depending on the size you slice these bars.Cut into 16 to 32 squares.

Tea is a plant product of leaves, leaf buds or various cultivar. An aromatic beverage when combined with hot boiling water. There are varieties of tea: yellow, green, white and oolong. Some varieties of traditional oolong tea and post fermented tea not only used as beverages but additionally used in some countries as medicinals. Herbal teas a term loosely used: flowers, fruits, herbs and plant materials that contain no Camellia sinensis.There is a wide variety of organic teas on the market caffinated and de-caffinated. Delicious herbs and plants can be added to favorite tea to enhance flavor and nutritional benefits. Try grated raw ginger root, chopped mints or a standard lemon. Tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world. Second only to water. Enjoy favorite tea with Paleo Breakfast, Paleo Lunch or Paleo Dinner.
Sweeteners allowed in Paleo Diet
I have 1 cups a tea every morning and 1 cup of tea evening and add a small amount of honey. Honey not allowed in the orthodoxed Paleo Diet but I enjoy my teas sweetened. and would rather use honey than processed sugar.

Ginger Root:
2 tablespoons of peeled and grated raw ginger root. Can peel ginger root with a spoon along grain of ginger root. Let grated grated raw ginger root simmer in cup with boiling water and selected tea.

Wheat flour cannot be used when cooking a gluten free and wheat free recipes. There are now a wide range of alternative flours for those that require a gluten free diet. These flours can be purchased at specialty stores. Whole Foods Market and Trader Joe’s now have gluten free, wheat free and dairy free sections. If you are gluten and wheat intolerant you can still enjoy your favorite recipes they just have to be prepared differently. Note the Paleo Diet has additional flour alternative restrictions.Wheat Flour Alternatives:
- Almond Flour from almond nuts plant based flours alternative to wheat flour. Almond flour is Paleo friendly
- Amaranth Flour
Made from the seed of the Amaranth plant. The Amaranth plant is a green leafy vegetable. The seeds are rich in protein. Amaranth flour is a wheat flour alternative used in baking. Alternative names: African spinach, Chinese spinach, Indian spinach and elephant ear.
- Arrowroot Flour
The root of the arrowroot plant is ground into flour. Arrowroot flour is a bland and fine powder that becomes clear when cooked. Great thickening for clear sauces.
- Brown Rice Flour
Brown rice flour is heavier than white rice flour. Ground from unpolished brown rice has high nutritional values. Has a grainy texture. There is a heavier texture with brown rice flour as versus to white rice flour.Rice not allowed in Paleo Diet.
- Buckwheat Flour
Buckwheat is a herbal plant. Buckwheat is not a cereal or grass. It is a pseudo cereal meaning it is not related to wheat. Buckwheat's outer husk is removed and the plant is dried. - Flax Meal
Has a nutty taste and ground from flax seeds. Rich in Omega 3 and linoleic acid. Store in refrigerator in opaque air-tight container. Paleo Diet friendly wheat flour alternative.
- Maize Flour
Maize flour is heavier than corn flour. Maize flour is ground from corn. Not allowed in Paleo Diet.
- Millet Flour

- Quinoa Flour
Has been used for hundred of years as a cereal. The Incas called it, “The Mother Seed”. Related to the plant family of spinach and beets. The seeds of the quinoa plant are ground into flour. Quinoa flour is a good source of vegetable protein.
- Sorghum Flour
Staple used in Africa and India. Used in soups and unleavened breads. The flour is ground from sorghum grains.
-Soya Flour
A successful alternative flour when combined with another wheat alternative flours. Can be used as a thickener or taste enhancer. Not included in Paleo Diet contains soy.
- Tapioca Flour
Made from the root of the cassava plant. Ground is a light and fine white flour. Adds a chewy texture and thickening agents.
- Teff Flour
From the grass family and used as cereal grain in Northern Africa. Used to make sour flat bread. Teff flour is highly nutritious.
- White Rice Flour
Ground from white rice. Does not have nutritional value compared to brown rice flour. White rice flour gives a light texture. Can be used in a variety of recipes. Not included in Paleo Diet.
